1. Tax billionaires into oblivion with both a wealth and income cap and New Deal progressive tax rate. 2. Universal health care, free tuition, elder care, paid for with progressive taxation. 3. Campaign finance reform undoing all the SCOTUS decisions that ended democracy like citizens united. 4. Mandatory voting like Australia, rank choice elections, and whatever works better than the mess with have now.

It is really a mess.

My political awakening was in the military when I was assigned to work in electronics shop for a couple months in the 90’s where they played Rush Limbaugh all day long loud. My coworkers regurgitating the garbage they heard blaring all day long made me a democrat for life.

90 people and they are looking at 10 people who own everything because…they just do. The 90 work multiple bad jobs to live in small apartments and have a miserable life while the 10 live in giant mansions and vacation on private jets because….why? The 10 people are always worried about the other 90 taking away everything they have and dividing it up among themselves…and they should. Democracy is about giving the 10 people just enough to keep everyone happy. Oligarchy is about giving the 90 people less and less until they are slaves.

It is no secret who pressured those democrats that voted to end the shutdown and pass the big ugly. Those politicians almost certainly will be responsible for thousands of deaths now. Literally thousands of people will not be able to pay for insurance and will then not go to the emergency room until they are so sick there is no saving them. The richest country on Earth in the 21st century is about Oligarchs as demi-gods and people as livestock.

The analysis, conducted by the University of Pennsylvania’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics (Penn LDI) and the Yale School of Public Health’s Center for Infectious Disease Modeling and Analysis,  finds:

1. 11,300 deaths per year from the loss of Medicaid or Affordable Care Act Marketplace coverage due to 7.7 million people losing coverage.
2. 18,200 deaths per year due to the loss of Medicaid coverage among 1.38 million low-income Medicare beneficiaries, causing loss of access to low-income prescription drug assistance.
3. 13,000 deaths per year among Medicaid enrollees in nursing homes due to the rollback of the 2024 nursing home minimum staffing rule.  
4. 8,811 deaths per year from the proposed bill’s failure to extend the enhanced ACA premium tax credits.

Not looking good for us.

The only constant is not change….it is extinction if you do not change. America ended on election night and a New America is our only chance to avoid the unimaginable fascist death machine that is in our future. Now.
