Progressive taxation is a curve that starts with providing a minimum standard of living and ends with a cap that prevents oligarchs from destroying democracy.
Without taxes the government fails either from the bottom up when the many do not pay tax or from the top down when the few do not pay tax. The only question is rewarding the high performers who improve the standard of living for all appropriately; how much money do we allow the individual to keep so that they do not destroy democracy? The freedom of democracy is not about absolute greed and obscene wealth, it is about limiting the wealth of the individual, so they do not make slaves of the rest of us.
Tax Billionaires Into Oblivion T.B.I.O. or our children and their children will live in squalor as wage slaves….if they let us live at all and do not herd the worthless eaters into the showers. As simple as that.
